ADVA 400Gbps data center interconnect conduct experiments
Germany ADVA optical transmission equipment manufacturers, recently said that the successful completion of 400Gbps optical transmission experiment a data center interconnect environment. Poland Poznan Supercomputing and Network Center PSNC with ADVA use PIONIER's research and education network from Warsaw to Poznan fiber network carried out the experiments. Experimental network also includes hybrid ROADM and amplifier.
ADVA provides FSP3000 CloudConnect platform in this experiment, the realization of the 385 kilometers of 400Gbps optical transmission. 400Gbps includes a super channel two 200Gbps wavelengths, using 16QAM modulation. ADVA said the experiment demonstrated 14 hours of 400Gbs non-blocking transmission, and is known as the industry's first. Test SNR OSNR reached 20dB. ADVA represents the experiment showed their support 200Gbps, 300Gbps, 400Gbps, QPSK, 8QAM, 16QAM different rates and the ability of different modulation methods.
PSNC official said, ADVA technology for the Polish education and scientific research work provides more possibilities. We can better collaborate on research, better sharing of data. Previously, they had never had such an opportunity. Now they have joined the research collaboration of many large amount of data.
