iWeb adds ADVA FSP 3000 to Montreal data center network
iWeb, a Canadian Internet hosting infrastructure provider, has installed the ADVA FSP 3000 throughout its Montreal data center network, according to ADVA Optical Networking. The fiber-optic network connects more than 35,000 servers in five locations.
The FSP 3000’s combination of small footprint and low power consumption were two of the important selection criteria, ADVA asserts. Scalability, including the ability to support 100-Gbps transmission, also played a role, the company adds.
